Henderson Answer Plot - Session II Training (July 13th)

There were just shy of 100 attendees at the 2nd training session this week. We discussed R7 Corn & Soybean Management, Corn & Soybean NutriSolutions, Corn & Soybean Characterization, Corn Traits & RR2Y Soybeans. Noticed some greensnap in some hybrids from the recent wind events. Very little evidence of aphid feeding on soybeans at this plot currently. Corn and soybeans look good at this plot. Will be tasseling shortly.

The Henderson Answer Plot was planted on May 16, 2011. Both corn and soybeans were planted on that date. On July 7th, corn stage ranges from V5 to V8. We have had some harsh weather conditions this past week at the plot. Greensnap is occurring in some of the hybrids. Macro and Micro nutrient deficiencies are noticeable in some of the corn blocks. The soybeans are in the V8 to R1 stage currently which is early bloom. Weed pressure is low to none. Some leaf damage on soybean plants due to recent weather events.
